O valor, carregado mensalmente, varia consoante o tamanho do agregado familiar e est\u00e1 sujeito a regras de nutri\u00e7\u00e3o equilibrada. Financiado pelo\u00a0<strong>Fundo Social Europeu Mais (FSE+)<\/strong>\u00a0e pelo\u00a0<strong>Estado portugu\u00eas<\/strong>\u00a0(no \u00e2mbito do programa\u00a0<strong>PESSOAS 2030<\/strong>), o cart\u00e3o destina-se a pessoas em priva\u00e7\u00e3o material, abrangendo atualmente\u00a0<strong>39 mil pessoas<\/strong>\u00a0(13.960 fam\u00edlias) em Portugal continental. Inicialmente testado em cinco concelhos, prev\u00ea-se a expans\u00e3o para\u00a0<strong>55 mil benefici\u00e1rios<\/strong>.
